Web 2.0 Activity

An activity that I would use incorporating Web 2.0 tools would be a character analysis of Fairytale characters, using xtramormal or voicethread. Using xtranormal, students would have to develop  a script, storyboard and publish a movie that shows 2 characters gossiping about a fairy tale character, identifying character traits and providing supporting evidence in the dialogue. Challenges would include the learning and teaching of the web  2.0 tools, access to video publishing site. Also getting access to fairytales.

4th grade Common Core State Standard

Apply grade 4 Reading standards to literature(e.g., “Describe in depth a character, setting,or event in a story or drama, drawing onspecific details in the text [e.g., a character’sthoughts, words, or actions].”).
